About us

"Escape to the tranquility of our bushveld retreat" - Legodimo (Tswana word for" paradise" or "where God is"), is a luxurious game lodge, situated one hour's drive from Sandton and Johannesburg's OR Tambo Airport and only 30 minutes from Tshwane (Pretoria).

The lodge offers exclusive accommodation, exceptional dining, superior service and gracious hospitality for those seeking elegance, exclusivity and comfort.

Legodimo opened for business 1 April 2009 on private land within the Dinokeng region famous for it's sunny and warm blue skies and abundance of plant, animal and bird life. The lodge is situated in a malaria-free bushveld and is home to various antelope, zebra, bird and plant species.

The lodge is tailor-made for couples (no persons under 18),  executives, honeymooners, and for individuals expecting that something extra. In addition we offer the perfect venue for corporate functions, weddings, conferences and for exclusive private functions.

The lodge is wheelchair friendly.

The average temperature throughout the year is a moderate 18 degrees Centigrade. The summer months, between September and April, range in temperature from 16 to 35 degrees Centigrade. Winter is from May through August, with temperatures ranging between 2 and 22 degrees Centigrade.

The lodge is protected by an electrified fence and has 24 hour CCTV cameras.
